India gold futures may near record highs

India gold futures may tread higher this week, nearing the record high struck last week, on the back of a weak dollar overseas, which may trigger buying in the alternative asset, analysts said.
The most-traded December contract MAUZ9 was 0.50 percent higher at 15,933 rupees per 10 grams at 6:23 p.m. The contract had hit an all-time high of 16,048 rupees last week.
