Gold vending machines are a sign of the times, German inventor claims
23 June 2009 The Telegraph

When a vending machine selling gold appeared in Frankfurt airport last week, it grabbed the attention of more than the usual gold bugs.
Now its German founder plans to take the idea to the Middle East, Asia and eventually Britain, hoping to capitalise on the public's mistrust of banks.
Thomas Geissler, the chief executive of TG-Gold-Super-Markt, admits his vending machines in their "raw" state are not so different from those which dispense Coke and chocolate.
