Gold Trades Near Two-Week High After Gaining on Europe Risks

Gold traded near a two-week high after rising the past seven days as investors bought the metal on concern Europe’s debt crisis will slow growth and weigh on the region’s currency.
Bullion for immediate delivery fell 12 cents to $1,225.53 an ounce at 8:08 a.m. in Sydney. It gained as much as 1 percent to $1,228.85 yesterday, the highest since May 18.
