Gold Advances for Third Day in Four as Investors Seek Haven

Gold, little changed in New York today, may gain for a fourth day as investors seek a haven amid financial problems in Europe.
Speculation increased that Greece will fail to secure financial assistance from the European Union, supporting gold even as the dollar gained as much as 0.7 percent against the euro. Some investors hold assets such as gold and the dollar, which typically move inversely, as haven investments.
