US Budget: Washington braced for shutdown

As debate rages in Congress over how to pare billions from the US budget, there are others in Washington worrying about more immediate cuts: businesses in the US capital, who will feel an immediate impact on their bottom lines if there is a budget shutdown.

Jim Dinegar, president of the Greater Washington board of trade, said he is hearing growing concern from many of the US capital’s businesses – from large government contractors to local restaurants.
