Gold Climbs Amid Global Tensions (GC in WSJ)

Gold futures managed a modest gain Tuesday as most commodities tumbled, with the metal continuing to benefit from its role as a safe haven due to worries about credit issues in Europe and tensions on the Korean peninsula.
The rest of the precious-metals complex fell as weakness in equities prompted worries about the global economy, and thus industrial demand.
