Gold’s London AM fix this morning was USD, EUR, and GBP per ounce. Yesterday's AM fix was USD 1,548.75, EUR 1,244.98, and GBP 995.41 per ounce.
Gold rose 0.38% or $6.00 in New York yesterday and closed at $1,564.80/oz. However the 0.38% gain does not convey the positive price action. This saw gold fall initially in unison with risk assets such as equities and commodities - including oil.

Silver is trading at $27.75/oz, €22.39/oz and £17.87/oz. Platinum is trading at $1,416.25/oz, palladium at $597.75/oz and rhodium at $1,275/oz.
Gold fell 0.89% or $14.00 in active trading yesterday and closed at $1,558.80/oz. Gold fell marginally in Asia but remains in a tight range. In European trading gold is hovering near the $1,550/oz level.

I would like to inform you of some important changes here at GoldCore.
I shall be assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer of GoldCore. Mr David Russell has stepped down as our Managing Director in order to pursue new interests.
Naturally we are all sad to see David's departure. David has been instrumental in managing GoldCore successfully over the past four and half years and has contributed to GoldCore becoming the international success story it is today.

Gold rose $13.30 or 0.85% in New York on Friday and closed at $1,572.80/oz. The higher close Friday was not enough to prevent a lower week for gold which was down 1.2% for the week.

Gold fell $26.20 or 1.64% in New York yesterday and closed at $1,566.80/oz. Gold fell in Asia and those falls continued in Europe where gold has been trading in a $16 range.

The World Gold Council has released the Q1 2012 Gold Demands Trend report.
Gold demand grew 16% over the past 12 months to 1,098 tonnes which had a value of just $59.7bn spent on gold in the entire world in Q1 2012.
While global demand was down 5% from the record high of Q4 2011, it was significantly higher than demand in Q1 2011 suggesting that demand may be consolidating at these higher levels.

Friday's AM fix was USD 1,580.75, EUR 1,221.69 and GBP 980.98 per ounce.
Gold fell $12.70 to close at $1,581/oz in New York on Friday. Gold has fallen again today and has now erased the gains for the year. Gold edged up in early Asian trading as bargain hunters lifted prices from four month lows, but gains were capped and prices gradually fell and falls continued in European trading.

Gold dropped $31.90 or 1.95% in New York yesterday and closed at $1,606.80/oz. Gold gradually fell again in Asian and European trading and looks set to test support at $1,580/oz.

Gold fell $3.70 or 0.23% in New York yesterday and closed at $1,638.70/oz. Gold started out sideways in Asia then gradually dropped lower and this weakness continued in early European trading.
